Main Ingredients
  • 5 sheets of square fish cakes (eomuk)
  • 1/2 medium onion

Cooking Instructions

Step 1

First, let’s prepare the vegetables. Peel and thoroughly wash the half onion. Then, slice it thinly into strips. Sliced onions will add sweetness and flavor when stir-fried with the fish cakes.

Step 2

Next, prepare the fish cakes. Cut the 5 sheets of square fish cakes into bite-sized pieces, about 2-3 cm wide. For a chewier texture and to remove any impurities, you can briefly blanch them in boiling water (optional).

Step 3

Heat about 1 Tbsp of cooking oil in a pan over medium-low heat. Add the sliced onions and stir-fry until they become translucent. The onions will release their natural sweetness, balancing the overall flavor.
