Refreshing & Tangy Sea Grape Salad
How to Make Sea Grape Salad with Seasonal Laver – Perfect for Lunchboxes and Side Dishes
Let’s make a delicious and refreshing sea grape salad using seasonal laver.
Main Ingredients- 1 pack sea grapes (approx. 100-150g)
- 1/4 radish (approx. 150g)
- 1 handful coarse salt (for washing sea grapes)
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
Today, we’ll be making a delightfully tangy and sweet sea grape salad using fresh, seasonal laver. It’s a dish that pairs wonderfully with rice!
Step 2
First, prepare one pack of sea grapes. Wash the radish (about 1/4 of a medium-sized one) thoroughly under running water. To clean the sea grapes effectively, add a handful of coarse salt to the water – this helps remove any impurities. Thinly slice the radish into matchsticks.
Step 3
In a mixing bowl, combine the prepared sea grapes and the julienned radish. Add the seasoning ingredients: 1 tablespoon of soy sauce, 1 tablespoon of vinegar, 1 teaspoon of sugar, and 1 teaspoon of salt. You can adjust the soy sauce and salt to your personal taste.
Step 4
Gently mix everything together with your hands, tossing lightly until the seasonings are evenly distributed. Be careful not to overmix, as this can make the sea grapes mushy. Finally, sprinkle a generous amount of toasted sesame seeds for a nutty aroma and flavor.
