Cooking Instructions
Step 1
First, let’s cook the fusilli pasta. Bring a generous pot of water to a boil, add half a tablespoon of salt (about 5g), and cook the fusilli according to package directions, but reduce the cooking time by about 1 minute to achieve an al dente texture. This ensures the pasta stays firm and doesn’t become mushy when mixed with the vegetables.

Rinse the fresh mixed salad greens and cherry tomatoes thoroughly under cold water. For extra crispness, you can soak the greens in cold water for about 10 minutes before rinsing.

Trim the stems from the rinsed cherry tomatoes and cut them in half. Most pre-packaged salad mixes are ready to use, but if the leaves are very large, it’s a good idea to chop them into bite-sized pieces.

Once the fusilli is cooked, drain it in a colander and rinse quickly under cold running water to stop the cooking process and cool it down. Rinsing prevents the pasta from sticking together and maintains its chewy texture. Ensure all excess water is drained off.
