Main Ingredients

  • 1 packet Nongshim Doongji Bibim Naengmyeon
  • 25g cucumber
  • 25g red bell pepper
  • 25g yellow bell pepper
  • 2 sheets perilla leaves (kkaennip)
  • 7 sheets Ssam Mu (radish wraps) (wasabi flavor)
  • 1/2 hard-boiled egg

Sauce & Garnish

  • 1 packet Doongji Bibim Naengmyeon aged bibimjang (spicy sauce)
  • A pinch of toasted sesame seeds

Cooking Instructions

First, lightly drain the liquid from the wasabi-flavored Ssam Mu wraps. Wash and thinly julienne the cucumber, red and yellow bell peppers, and perilla leaves. (Tip: Cucumbers are in season and affordable right now, and large bell peppers are also a great value, making them perfect for this dish!)

Arrange the Ssam Mu wraps on a plate. Evenly distribute your chosen julienned vegetables on each wrap according to your preference. Fold the bottom edge of the Ssam Mu slightly upwards, then carefully roll it from one side to create neat Ssam Mu rolls.

Typically, Ssam Mu rolls are delicious with dipping sauces like peanut sauce or chili sauce. However, since we’re pairing them with Bibim Naengmyeon, we’ll skip the extra sauce for this recipe.

Bring a pot of water to a boil. Add the noodles and toppings from the Doongji Bibim Naengmyeon. Once boiling, reduce the heat to low and continue to cook for 3 minutes. Drain the noodles and rinse them thoroughly under cold water to remove excess starch. Squeeze out any remaining water. Place the drained noodles in a bowl and mix well with the aged bibimjang from the Doongji Bibim Naengmyeon packet until evenly coated.

Transfer the mixed Bibim Naengmyeon to a small, individual serving plate. Place this plate in the center of a larger serving platter. Arrange the prepared Ssam Mu rolls attractively around the Bibim Naengmyeon. Top the noodles with the half hard-boiled egg and sprinkle with toasted sesame seeds to complete the presentation.
