Ingredients
  • 1 can (approx. 150g) Tuna
  • 1 Tbsp Mayonnaise
  • 2-3 Tbsp Finely Chopped Kimchi (Napa Cabbage Kimchi or Radish Kimchi)
  • 1/2 Tbsp Vinegar
  • 1/2 Tbsp Sugar
  • 1 bowl Warm Cooked Rice

Cooking Instructions

Step 1

First, drain the oil from the canned tuna thoroughly. You can do this by tilting the can over a sieve or by pressing the tuna with paper towels. This step helps reduce the fishy smell and enhances the savory flavor.

Step 2

Finely chop the kimchi into small pieces, about 0.5cm in size, suitable for mixing with rice. If you prefer, you can also use finely chopped radish kimchi (kkakdugi).

Step 3

In a bowl, combine the drained tuna, chopped kimchi, mayonnaise, vinegar, and sugar. Mix everything together well until evenly distributed. This ensures all the flavors meld together. Spoon the warm rice into a serving bowl and top generously with the tuna mixture.

Step 4

Finally, drizzle extra mayonnaise over the tuna mixture in a zigzag pattern to finish your delicious tuna mayo rice bowl! For an extra touch, you can sprinkle some shredded seaweed (gim) or sesame seeds on top. Enjoy your meal!
