Ingredients
- 1/4 head of fresh cabbage
- 3 cloves of garlic
- 1 Tbsp oyster sauce
- 1 Tbsp fish sauce
- 1 Tbsp chili sauce
- Pinch of salt
- Pinch of black pepper
- 2 Tbsp cooking oil
- Pinch of sugar
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
First, wash the fresh cabbage thoroughly. Cut it into bite-sized pieces that are easy to eat. Avoid cutting too thinly, as it might break apart during stir-frying. Aim for a moderate thickness.
Step 2
Peel the aromatic garlic cloves and slice them thinly. Slicing the garlic like this allows its wonderful flavor to infuse into the oil, making the dish even more delicious.
Step 3
Now, heat a pan over medium-high heat and add the cooking oil. Add the sliced garlic and stir-fry gently over low heat to release its fragrance. Once the garlic starts to turn golden, add the sliced cabbage. Sprinkle in a pinch of salt and black pepper. Stir-frying over high heat will help preserve the cabbage’s crisp texture.
Step 4
When the edges of the cabbage start to look slightly translucent and begin to wilt, it’s time to add the sauces. Pour in 1 Tbsp of oyster sauce, 1 Tbsp of fish sauce, and 1 Tbsp of chili sauce. Add a pinch of sugar as well. Stir-fry quickly to ensure all ingredients are well combined and coated with the sauce. Once the sauce is evenly distributed and the cabbage has a glossy sheen, it’s ready!
