Ingredients- Leftover Chili Sauce 1 (approx. 2 Tbsp)
- Leftover Brown Sauce 1 (approx. 2 Tbsp, Teriyaki flavor)
- Fresh Shrimp 8 pieces
- Bell Pepper 1/4 (diced)
- Green Onion 1 Tbsp (chopped)
- Garlic 1 Tbsp (thinly sliced)
- Herb Powder 1 Tbsp (to taste)
- Salt to taste
- Pepper to taste
- Fried Egg 1
- Gourmet Hamburg Steak Set 1
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
First, prepare your leftover sauces. The chili sauce will add a spicy and sweet kick, while the brown sauce (teriyaki flavor) will bring savory depth and sweetness. Combining these two creates a wonderful balance of flavors. (Use approximately 2 tablespoons of each sauce).
Step 2
Heat a pan with a generous amount of olive oil over medium-low heat. Add the sliced garlic and chopped green onions, sautéing until fragrant. Then, add the diced bell pepper and cook briefly. Season lightly with salt and pepper.
Step 3
Now it’s time to add the prepared shrimp. Peel the shrimp and remove the head and devein for a cleaner eating experience. You can skip deveining if you prefer, but it helps reduce any potential bitterness. Add the shrimp to the pan and cook until they turn pink and slightly browned on both sides.
Step 4
Once the shrimp start to cook, pour in the leftover chili sauce and brown sauce you prepared. These sauces will coat the shrimp, infusing them with a delicious sweet, chili, and teriyaki flavor. Any leftover sauce from takeout or meal kits will work wonderfully. Cook until the sauce thickens slightly and coats the shrimp.
Step 5
When the shrimp are fully cooked and have turned a vibrant red, your chili shrimp are ready! The sauce should be well-reduced and have coated the shrimp beautifully. Set the cooked chili shrimp aside on one side of the pan. In the empty space, you’ll prepare to warm the Kobe Hamburg Steak set to serve alongside.
Step 6
Warm the Hamburg Steak set in the microwave according to the package instructions. Arrange the warmed Hamburg Steak, fried rice, and grilled vegetables attractively on the empty side of the pan.
Step 7
Finally, fry an egg to your desired doneness, preferably sunny-side up for a runny yolk, and gently place it on top of the Hamburg Steak. By cooking the egg uncovered on one side, you’ll achieve a perfect sunny-side up yolk. And there you have it – a delicious and impressive ‘Chili Shrimp Shrimp Box’ made with your leftover sauces!
