Pork Belly with Special Dipping Sauce
Delicious Pork Belly Dipped in Flavorful Fermented Shrimp Sauce!*
This fermented shrimp sauce is a must-have whenever we grill pork belly at home. We always pack it when we go camping too!
Ingredients
- 3 Tbsp Anchovy Sauce (or other fermented seafood sauce)
- 3 Korean Red Peppers (Cheongyang peppers)
- 7 cloves Garlic
- 5 Tbsp Soju (Korean rice wine)
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
Use a stainless steel or aluminum bowl. Disposable foil containers also work well! Fermented hairtail intestine sauce (galchi-sokjeot) is particularly delicious. Place your chosen sauce into the bowl.
Step 2
Thinly slice the garlic cloves and finely chop the Korean red peppers. Add about 5 tablespoons of soju. The alcohol will evaporate when heated, removing any raw taste and enhancing the aroma.
Step 3
Stir everything together quickly and smoothly. Give it a good mix!
Step 4
Place the sauce mixture on the edge of the pan while you’re grilling your pork belly. Once it starts to bubble and simmer, dip your perfectly grilled pork belly into it for an explosion of flavor!
