  • 180g scallions (fresh, of moderate thickness)
  • 5 cloves whole garlic

Special Sauce

  • 1 Tbsp soy sauce
  • 1/2 Tbsp vinegar
  • 1/2 tsp fine gochugaru (Korean chili flakes)
  • A pinch of toasted sesame seeds (adjust to taste)

Cooking Instructions

First, wash the scallions thoroughly and pat them dry. Trim them to about 7cm in length. Cutting them to this size will make them easier to roll.

Next, gather about 10-12 of the trimmed scallions and arrange them into a neat, round bundle. This bundle will be the flavorful center of your rolls.

Now, take the thinly sliced pork belly and wrap it snugly around each scallion bundle, rolling it up tightly. Be gentle to avoid tearing the pork belly.

Heat a frying pan over medium-low heat. Place the pork belly and scallion rolls and the whole garlic cloves into the pan. Cook, turning occasionally, until the pork belly is golden brown and looks deliciously cooked, approximately 10 minutes. The garlic will also roast and add its aroma.
