Main Ingredients

  • T-bone steak, 500g
  • Olive oil, 2 Tbsp
  • Salt, to taste
  • Black pepper, to taste

Cooking Instructions

Step 1

First, prepare the T-bone steak. Pat the surface of the meat dry with paper towels to remove any excess moisture or blood. Removing this moisture is crucial for eliminating any gamey odors and ensuring a clean, delicious flavor.

Step 1

Step 2

Brush the steak all over with olive oil. Then, generously season it with salt and black pepper. Gently massage the seasonings into the meat to ensure even distribution. For best results, let the steak marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.

Step 2

Step 3

Preheat your air fryer to 190°C (375°F) for about 5 minutes. Place the seasoned T-bone steak into the air fryer basket, ensuring the thicker side faces upwards. Cook for 10 minutes. (Tip: If you are cooking other items like potato wedges simultaneously, place the steak at the bottom of the basket so that the heat distributes evenly.)

Step 3

Step 4

While the steak is cooking, prepare your garnish vegetables. Chop your favorite vegetables, such as asparagus, mushrooms, or bell peppers, into bite-sized pieces. You can quickly stir-fry them in a pan with a little olive oil over high heat until slightly tender, or roast them in the air fryer alongside the steak. (Tip: Lightly season the vegetables with salt and pepper for added flavor.)

Step 4

Step 5

After 10 minutes of cooking, carefully remove the T-bone steak from the air fryer and flip it over. Cook the other side for another 10 minutes at 190°C (375°F). Adjust the cooking time based on the thickness of your steak and your air fryer’s performance. To check for doneness, use a meat thermometer: aim for an internal temperature of 50-55°C (122-131°F) for medium-rare or 55-60°C (131-140°F) for medium in the thickest part.

Step 5

Step 6

Once perfectly cooked, remove the T-bone steak from the air fryer and wrap it tightly in aluminum foil. Let it rest for 10 minutes. This resting period allows the juices to redistribute throughout the meat, resulting in a more succulent and tender steak. Slice the rested steak and serve it with your prepared garnish for a delightful meal!
