Ingredients
  • 120ml Milk, frozen
  • 2 Tbsp Injeolmi powder (roasted soybean powder)
  • 1 Tbsp Small Injeolmi (bite-sized Korean rice cakes)
  • 1 Tbsp Sliced almonds
  • Sweetened condensed milk, to taste

Cooking Instructions

Step 1

First, pour 120ml of milk into a bingsu mold or a suitable container and freeze it completely in the freezer. Freezing it solid ensures you get fine, fluffy snow ice when you shave it.

Step 2

Once the milk is completely frozen, use a bingsu machine to finely shave the frozen milk. When operating the machine, pay attention to safety and follow the manufacturer’s instructions. Shave enough to create a generous mound of snow-like milk ice.

Step 3

Prepare the toppings for your bingsu. Measure out the small Injeolmi for a chewy texture, the Injeolmi powder which is key to the nutty flavor, and the sliced almonds for added crunch and aroma. Have the sweetened condensed milk ready to drizzle.

Step 4

Generously sprinkle 2 tablespoons of Injeolmi powder over the finely shaved milk ice. The nutty aroma of the soybean powder will blend with the ice, creating a delicious base.

Step 5

Add 1 tablespoon of the prepared small Injeolmi over the bingsu. You can adjust the amount of rice cakes to your preference. The chewy texture of the Injeolmi combined with the sweet and nutty bingsu is a fantastic match.

Step 6

Finally, sprinkle about 1 tablespoon of sliced almonds over the top for an extra nutty flavor and a satisfying crunch. The nuts will enhance the overall taste and texture of the bingsu.

Step 7

Add sweetened condensed milk to your liking for added sweetness. The Injeolmi powder itself provides a subtle sweetness, so you don’t need a lot of condensed milk to achieve a perfectly sweet and delicious dessert. Drizzle lightly according to your preference.

Step 8

Your delightful Injeolmi Bingsu, featuring soft snow ice, chewy rice cakes, and nutty soybean powder, is now complete! Enjoy this cool and delicious dessert 🙂
