  • 4 Tbsp perilla seed powder
  • 1 Tbsp soybean paste (doenjang)
  • Sichuan pepper powder (optional)
  • 300ml water

Step 1

In the inner pot of your rice cooker, add the perilla seed powder (4 Tbsp) for that nutty richness, beef bone broth powder (2 Tbsp) for a deep broth flavor, soybean paste (1 Tbsp) for its savory depth, anchovy powder (1 Tbsp) to enhance the umami, and minced garlic (1 tsp) for a subtle pungent note.

Next, add the 3 fresh Napa cabbage leaves, cut into bite-sized pieces. These leaves will add a subtle sweetness and tender texture to the soup. Using the outer leaves can result in an even softer texture.
