  • 4 small slices Carrot

Cooking Instructions

Step 1

Let’s make a tender and moist bean brunch using the Cuckoo Twin Pressure Rice Cooker’s ‘High Pressure Mode,’ which can transform even hard, unsoaked beans. Prepare 70g each of low-calorie, high-protein white kidney beans, green peas, and chickpeas.

Step 2

Rinse the three types of beans thoroughly under running water. Place the washed beans into the inner pot of the rice cooker and add water up to the ‘2’ mark for white rice. (Since the beans are unsoaked, you’ll need a relatively generous amount of water.)

Step 3

Close the lid and select the ‘High Pressure Mode’ for cooking. (Unlike the ‘Pressure-Free Mode,’ the ‘High Pressure Mode’ indicator light turns red.) High Pressure Mode operates at 2 atmospheres of pressure, preventing steam from escaping and tenderizing even the toughest ingredients. For reference, Pressure-Free Mode is ideal for cooking fluffy rice. The Twin Pressure cooker allows you to easily adjust the pressure by turning the lid handle.

Step 4

Select the ‘Mixed Grains’ menu on the rice cooker.

Step 5

Gently press the ‘High Pressure Cook’ button. Unlike older models that required a firm press, the Cuckoo Twin Pressure cooker responds to a light touch.

Step 6

While the three types of beans are cooking to perfection in the Cuckoo Twin Pressure cooker, prepare the accompanying ingredients. Briefly soak the broccoli in a vinegar-water solution, then rinse and cut it into bite-sized florets. Slice the carrot into moderately thin pieces. Also, get your bacon and one egg ready.

Step 7

Here are the beans after the cooking cycle is complete! It’s truly amazing that beans typically requiring a full day of soaking are now wonderfully tender in just 40 minutes. (Laughs) Remove the cooked beans and set them aside briefly.

Step 8

Lightly coat a pan with olive oil and heat over medium-low heat. Add the broccoli, carrot, and bacon, and sauté until nicely browned. Cook the fried egg on the side. Arrange the cooked ingredients attractively on a plate.

Step 9

In the same pan, add the cooked beans from the rice cooker. Sprinkle with 2 tablespoons of butter, 1-2 pinches of salt, and a tiny bit of pepper. Sauté for 1-2 minutes to infuse the beans with the butter’s flavor. Serve the seasoned beans alongside the ingredients on the plate from step 7. Your delicious bean brunch is ready!

Step 10

This bean brunch is perfect for a diet meal, a simple breakfast, or a delightful brunch. It’s nutritionally complete and incredibly satisfying. By cooking a larger batch of beans using the Cuckoo Twin Pressure cooker’s High Pressure Mode and storing them in the refrigerator, you can quickly assemble a hearty meal on busy mornings. Thanks to this cooker, managing my son’s picky eating habits for his diet has become so much easier! I’m really enjoying cooking in my kitchen these days. (Laughs)
