A Delightful Baby Food: Tomato Vegetable Fried Rice Recipe Packed with Nutrients
Say goodbye to picky eating! This simple and delicious fried rice, featuring sweet and tangy tomatoes, fresh vegetables, and tender minced beef, is a fantastic way to encourage your little one to enjoy their veggies. An easy-to-follow recipe perfect for beginner parents.
Tomato Vegetable Fried Rice- 5-6 cherry tomatoes
- 2 shiitake mushrooms
- 1/4 onion
- 1/4 zucchini
- 1/4 carrot
- 50g minced beef
- 2 Tbsp corn kernels
- 1 Tbsp butter
- 3 Tbsp ketchup
- 1 slice baby cheese
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
First, melt 1 Tbsp of butter in a heated pan. Add the minced beef and stir-fry until about two-thirds cooked. Once the beef is partially cooked, add the finely chopped onion and sauté to release its aroma. (As this is for baby food, salt is omitted, but you can add a tiny splash of baby soy sauce if desired.)
Step 2
Add the shiitake mushrooms, zucchini, and carrot, all diced into small pieces. Remove the stems from the cherry tomatoes, halve them, and add them to the pan. Stir-fry everything together until the vegetables are tender.
Step 3
Can you already smell the delicious aroma? This tomato vegetable fried rice is incredibly simple, making it a frequent go-to dish for baby food or toddler meals. Your child will especially love it if they enjoy the sweet and sour taste of ketchup.
Step 4
As the tomatoes begin to break down and cook, add 3 Tbsp of ketchup and mix well. Adjust the amount of ketchup according to your child’s preference. This tomato sauce base is also delicious when served over cooked pasta!
Step 5
Add 2 Tbsp of store-bought corn kernels for added color and texture. It’s great to include a variety of vegetables in this fried rice, and focusing on those your child likes can help improve picky eating habits. (My child tends to eat vegetables well!)
Step 6
Everything is now beautifully stir-fried and ready! You can mix the cheese in directly, but for an even richer, creamier flavor, try topping warm rice with the stir-fried mixture and the cheese, then gently mixing it all together.
Step 7
And here is today’s nutritious baby meal! This tomato vegetable fried rice is a nutritional powerhouse, providing protein from the beef and various vitamins from the vegetables all in one dish. Enjoy a happy mealtime with your little one!
