  • Servings : 1 serving
  • Cooking Time : Within 15 minutes
  • Difficulty : Anyone

Ingredients

  • 1 serving rice, pre-soaked
  • 1 can tuna
  • 1 egg

Cooking Instructions

Step 1

Prepare the rice for your baby’s food. Blend the pre-soaked rice (soaked for at least 1 hour) in a blender until finely ground. (For later stages of baby food, you can leave some texture or even use whole grains, depending on your baby’s age and chewing ability.)

Step 1

Step 2

In a pot, combine the blended rice with 1.5 to 2 cups (about 300-400ml) of water. Cook over medium-low heat, stirring constantly to prevent clumping and ensure a smooth consistency.

Step 2

Step 3

Open the can of tuna. It’s crucial to drain out all the oil from the tuna before adding it to the baby food, as the oil can be hard for babies to digest.

Step 3

Step 4

Once the rice porridge starts to boil, add the drained tuna. Stir gently to break up any clumps and let it simmer for about 2-3 minutes, allowing the tuna’s flavor to meld with the porridge.

Step 4

Step 5

In a separate small bowl, crack one fresh egg and whisk it thoroughly with a fork or whisk until well combined. This ensures the egg cooks evenly without lumps.

Step 5

Step 6

Slowly drizzle the whisked egg into the simmering rice and tuna mixture. Pouring it in gradually helps create soft, fluffy curds of egg.

Step 6

Step 7

Reduce the heat to very low. As the egg begins to cook and form soft curds, gently stir with a spatula. Continue to cook for another 2-3 minutes until the egg is fully cooked and well incorporated with the rice and tuna.

Step 7

Step 8

Transfer the warm baby food to a serving bowl. Your delicious and nutritious tuna and egg baby food is ready! Its soft texture and wholesome ingredients make it a perfect, easily digestible meal for your little one.
