Nostalgic Park Ji-Sung’s Egg Soy Sauce Fried Rice
Egg Soy Sauce Fried Rice: A Taste of Park Ji-Sung’s Childhood Memories
Inspired by watching footballer Park Ji-Sung cook this dish, I decided to recreate a beloved childhood meal from times when food was scarce. This fried rice was considered a top delicacy back then. It’s simple, satisfying, and brings back warm memories, just like stepping back into those cherished days.
Main Ingredients- 1 bowl of warm rice
- 2 fresh eggs
- 3 tablespoons cooking oil
Seasoning- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1 tablespoon toasted sesame seeds
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1 tablespoon toasted sesame seeds
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
Heat a frying pan over medium heat and add 3 tablespoons of cooking oil. Carefully crack 2 eggs into the pan, trying not to break the yolks, and fry them sunny-side up. For an extra delicious touch, let the edges get slightly crispy as you fry them.
Step 2
Once the eggs are cooked, add 1 bowl of warm rice and 1 tablespoon of soy sauce directly into the pan. Gently break the fried eggs with a spatula or spoon while mixing everything together. Stir-fry over high heat until the soy sauce evenly coats each grain of rice, ensuring the rice remains fluffy and not clumped.
Step 3
When the rice is well-fried and has a appetizing color, turn off the heat immediately. Finally, add 1 tablespoon of sesame oil and 1 tablespoon of toasted sesame seeds, mixing gently with the residual heat to add aroma. Be careful not to overcook, as the sesame oil’s fragrance can dissipate.
Step 4
Transfer the finished fried rice into a rice bowl, arranging it nicely. Then, invert the bowl onto another plate and gently shake to unmold a beautifully shaped fried rice. Enjoy this simple yet delicious egg soy sauce fried rice that brings back childhood memories!
