Cooking Instructions
Step 1
Let’s start with the noodles! Begin by boiling the somen noodles until they are perfectly chewy. Use plenty of boiling water, and add a splash of cold water if the water starts to boil over to prevent this.
Step 2
While the noodles are cooking, let’s quickly whip up the flavorful mixing sauce. In a bowl, combine all the sauce ingredients: Gochujang, minced garlic, Gochugaru, soy sauce, Mirim, Oligodang, sugar, vinegar, and Maesilcheong.
Step 3
Now, simply mix all the sauce ingredients together thoroughly until well combined. Adjust the consistency to your liking, and ensure everything is smoothly incorporated. See? It’s incredibly easy!
Step 4
Once the noodles are cooked, rinse them immediately under cold water to remove excess starch and drain them completely. Arrange the noodles beautifully in a serving bowl, generously top with the prepared sauce, and finish with your fresh, crunchy vegetables. Mix everything together and enjoy your delicious, homemade Bibim Guksu!
