Ingredients

  • 1 block (approx. 300g) firm tofu
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 paper cup (approx. 100ml) milk
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt (approx. 2g)
  • 1/2 small carrot
  • 1/2 small onion
  • 1 handful (approx. 10g) green onion or chives

Cooking Instructions

First, drain the tofu thoroughly and cut it into 4 equal pieces. Finely mince the carrot, onion, and green onion (or chives). Preparing your ingredients beforehand will make the cooking process much smoother.

In a blender or food processor, combine the 4 pieces of tofu, 1/2 paper cup of milk, and the 2 eggs. Blend until smooth and creamy; this step ensures a wonderfully soft texture.

Pour the smoothly blended tofu mixture into a microwave-safe dish. Sprinkle the minced carrot, onion, and green onion (or chives) evenly over the top. Gently mix everything together with a spoon or spatula. A good mix makes for a more visually appealing dish!

To prevent the custard from drying out or splattering in the microwave, cover the dish with a lid or plastic wrap. If using plastic wrap, poke a few small holes with a fork to allow steam to escape during cooking.
