Incredibly easy yet unbelievably delicious! This recipe will guide you through making a fantastic rabokki in your microwave. It’s perfect for beginners and results in a satisfyingly chewy noodle dish with a perfectly balanced sweet and spicy sauce. Adding a slice of cheddar cheese elevates the flavor even further!
Main Ingredients- 1 package instant ramen noodles
- 1 slice cheddar cheese
Sauce Ingredients- 2 Tbsp gochujang (Korean chili paste)
- 1 Tbsp gochugaru (Korean chili flakes, adjust to taste)
- 1 Tbsp soy sauce
- 2 Tbsp sugar (adjust sweetness as preferred)
- 400ml water (approx. 2 standard Korean paper cups)
- 2 Tbsp gochujang (Korean chili paste)
- 1 Tbsp gochugaru (Korean chili flakes, adjust to taste)
- 1 Tbsp soy sauce
- 2 Tbsp sugar (adjust sweetness as preferred)
- 400ml water (approx. 2 standard Korean paper cups)
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
First, in a microwave-safe bowl large enough to hold all ingredients, combine the gochujang (2 Tbsp), gochugaru (1 Tbsp), soy sauce (1 Tbsp), and sugar (2 Tbsp). Pour in the water (400ml) and stir well with a spoon until all the sauce ingredients are thoroughly mixed. Once the sauce is evenly combined, place the bowl in the microwave and heat for 2 minutes. Warming the sauce beforehand helps to reduce the overall cooking time and allows the flavors to meld better into the noodles.
Step 2
Break the ramen noodles into four pieces and add them to the warmed sauce mixture. Ensure the noodles are submerged and well-coated in the sauce.
