Microwave Oatmeal Chicken Porridge
[Easy Dorm Cooking] Microwave Oatmeal Chicken Porridge
They say cooking oatmeal is incredibly delicious, so I decided to make chicken porridge with chicken breast. And I made it in the microwave! It’s incredibly tasty and super easy.
Ingredients- Oatmeal 5 tablespoons
- Chicken breast 1 piece
- Minced garlic 1/2 tablespoon
- Sesame oil, a little
- Pepper, a little
- Water 2 paper cups (approx. 400ml)
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
In a deep, microwave-safe bowl, add 5 tablespoons of oatmeal. (Using a regular soup spoon for measurement is convenient.)
Step 2
Shred the cooked chicken breast into small pieces along the grain. If using raw chicken breast, cook it beforehand. (You can also use pre-cooked chicken breast salad for convenience.)
Step 3
Add 1/2 tablespoon of minced garlic to the bowl.
Step 4
Pour in 2 paper cups of water (approximately 400ml). The amount of water can be adjusted based on the type of oatmeal or your desired porridge consistency.
Step 5
Using a spoon, stir well to combine the oatmeal, shredded chicken breast, minced garlic, and water. Once thoroughly mixed, place in the microwave and cook for 2 minutes and 30 seconds. (Based on 700W microwave.)
Step 6
Carefully remove from the microwave (it will be hot!) and stir again thoroughly. As you stir, the oatmeal will absorb the liquid and thicken into a porridge. Continue stirring for another 10-20 seconds until it reaches your desired consistency.
Step 7
Finally, sprinkle a pinch of pepper to enhance the flavor. You can also add a little salt or other seasonings to taste.
Step 8
Drizzle a few drops of sesame oil for a rich, nutty aroma that makes it even more delicious. Serve hot immediately!
