  • 20 Black Rice Grains (optional, adds color and health benefits)
  • Water (enough to be 3cm above the rice level)
  • 1 Microwave-safe Mug

Cooking Instructions

First, measure out 3 tablespoons of white rice and place it into your microwave-safe mug. This is a suitable portion for one person.

If you’d like to add an exotic color and boost the health benefits, add about 20 grains of black rice. Rinse both the white and black rice thoroughly. When washing rice, it’s best to rinse gently, changing the water multiple times, to avoid breaking the rice grains.

Place the washed white and black rice into the mug you’ve prepared. Only fill the mug about halfway to prevent the rice from overflowing as it cooks.

Water is crucial for cooking rice! While deep-sea water is rich in minerals, regular tap water or filtered water will work perfectly fine. Please prepare clean water.

When adding the water, pour enough so that it’s about 3cm above the level of the rice. Ensuring the right amount of water is important for the rice to cook evenly and become tender.
