Main Ingredients- Powdered Soup Mix (Cream of Mushroom or your favorite) 1/3 paper cup
- Macaroni 1/4 paper cup

- Pinch of salt (optional, adjust based on soup flavor)
- Pinch of black pepper
- Pinch of salt (optional, adjust based on soup flavor)
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
Measure out your macaroni. About 1/4 of a paper cup is a good portion for one person. (The amount shown in the photo is for about 5 servings, prepared generously.)
Step 2
The secret ingredient for this Mac & Cheese! Prepare your powdered soup mix. You can use any type of powdered soup, but Cream of Mushroom soup provides a rich flavor base.
Step 3
Measure out about 1/3 of a paper cup of the soup powder. If you prefer a richer taste, feel free to add a little more.
Step 4
Cook the macaroni in boiling water for about 5-6 minutes until al dente. Drain the cooked macaroni thoroughly using a sieve. (The macaroni in the photo is for 5 servings.)
[Storage Tip] If you’ve prepared extra macaroni, portion out what you’ll eat immediately. Once cooled, store the remaining macaroni in an airtight container or freezer bag. It can be kept in the freezer for about a week. Frozen macaroni can be cooked directly with the soup mix in the microwave without thawing, making it a convenient meal.
Step 5
Take a microwave-safe bowl with some depth. Add the soup powder and about 1/2 of a standard Korean soup bowl’s worth of hot water (approximately 150-200ml). Stir well to dissolve the soup mix. Using hot water from an electric kettle or water that’s been reheated in the microwave will yield better results. Once the soup is dissolved, microwave for 1 minute.
Step 6
After 1 minute, carefully remove the bowl from the microwave and stir with a spoon. Ensure there are no lumps and mix evenly. Then, return it to the microwave for another 1 minute.
Step 7
Now, add the cooked macaroni and at least 2 slices of cheese. Tearing or cutting the cheese into smaller pieces will help it melt better. Microwave for an additional 30 seconds to 1 minute. (Adjust the time based on your microwave’s power.)
Step 8
I used a mix of Cheddar cheese and white Cheddar cheese. Using more cheese, or a combination of different types, will result in a creamier, richer Mac & Cheese, similar to store-bought versions. Adding mozzarella cheese can also give it a nice chewiness.
Step 9
Season with a pinch of black pepper and a little salt to taste. Since the soup mix already contains salt, taste and adjust the amount of salt as needed.
Step 10
Stir everything together until well combined, and your delicious microwave Mac & Cheese is ready! Enjoy it hot for the best flavor.
