Ingredients for Dalgona Toast

  • 1 slice of bread
  • 1 piece of softened butter (at room temperature)
  • 1 Tbsp brown sugar (or regular granulated sugar)

Cooking Instructions

Step 1

First, let’s prepare the butter. Leave the butter at room temperature for at least 10 minutes until it’s soft and spreadable. If you’re using frozen butter, you can microwave it for about 1 minute until it’s slightly melted. Don’t worry if it’s not completely melted; you can easily mix it until smooth with a spoon.

Step 1

Step 2

In the softened butter, mix in 1 tablespoon of brown sugar. Brown sugar adds a deeper, richer flavor that enhances the Dalgona taste. If you don’t have brown sugar, regular granulated sugar works just fine for a delicious result.

Step 2

Step 3

Now, let’s prepare the bread! Spread the sweet butter-sugar mixture evenly over one side of the bread slice. Make sure to cover the edges thoroughly so that the entire surface toasts up beautifully and deliciously.

Step 3

Step 4

Place the bread, coated-side down, onto a preheated pan. Cook over medium-low heat to ensure it turns a lovely golden brown without burning.

Step 4

Step 5

While the bottom side is toasting, spread the remaining butter-sugar mixture evenly over the top side of the bread. This ensures that both sides get that wonderfully crispy and sweet Dalgona coating.

Step 5

Step 6

Time for the flip! Carefully turn the toast over so the coated side is now facing the pan. Cook until it’s golden brown and caramelized. The sweet aroma wafting from the pan will be irresistible!

Step 6

Step 7

Once both sides are a tempting golden-brown, remove the toast from the pan and let it cool slightly on a wire rack. While it’s delicious hot, letting it cool a bit will enhance the crispiness of the Dalgona coating. Enjoy immediately while warm for the best experience!
