Ingredients

  • 1 packet of your favorite ramen (excluding liquid soup base and dry powder soup for mixed noodles)
  • 300ml water (approx. 250ml-300ml, adjust based on pan size)
  • 1 egg

Cooking Instructions

Step 1

Gather your ingredients: 1 packet of your preferred ramen (ensure it’s not a dry powder type meant for mixing without broth), 300ml of water (about 250-300ml, adjustable depending on your pan), and 1 fresh egg.

Step 1

Step 2

Place the water in a pan and bring it to a boil over high heat. For even cooking, a pan around 20cm in diameter is recommended. A pan that’s too wide might cause the noodles to cook unevenly.

Step 2

Step 3

Once the water is boiling vigorously, add the ramen noodles. Gently loosen them to prevent sticking and cook for about 2-3 minutes, or until the noodles are tender and have softened.

Step 3

Step 4

When the noodles are mostly softened, add half of the ramen soup powder (1/2 packet) to the pan. Adding the soup base at this stage helps the flavor infuse deeply into the noodles.

Step 4

Step 5

When the noodles are almost fully cooked, carefully crack the egg into the center of the pan. The goal is to cook the egg so the white is set but the yolk remains soft and runny (half-boiled). You can gently cover the egg with some noodles or place a lid on the pan for a minute to help it cook.

Step 5

Step 6

Once the egg is cooked to your liking, use the residual heat in the pan to gently mix the noodles with the runny egg yolk. The yolk will break and blend with the broth, creating a rich, creamy, and savory ramen. Enjoy your delicious meal!
