Cooking Instructions

Step 1

Prepare all the ingredients for the dish. This includes the curry powder, ground pork, onions, carrots, potatoes, and kielbasa sausage. Ensure everything is washed and ready.

Step 2

Dice the onions into large pieces. Cut the carrots and potatoes into bite-sized cubes. Keeping the vegetables roughly the same size will help them cook evenly.

Step 3

Thinly slice the garlic. Alternatively, you can use minced garlic. Sliced garlic will infuse a more robust flavor.

Step 4

Melt the butter in a large pot over medium heat. Add the ground pork and sauté until it starts to brown. Then, add the sliced garlic and a pinch of pepper, and continue to stir-fry until fragrant and the pork is cooked through.

Step 5

Once the pork is cooked, add the sliced onions to the pot. Sauté until the onions become transparent and softened. Cooking the onions thoroughly will bring out their natural sweetness, enhancing the overall flavor of the curry.

Step 6

When the onions are translucent, add the cubed potatoes and carrots. Stir and cook for about 2-3 minutes to lightly sear the vegetables.

Step 7

Pour in 2L of water and bring to a boil over high heat. Once boiling, reduce the heat to medium-low and simmer until the vegetables are tender. Using a generous amount of water helps achieve the desired curry consistency later.

Step 8

When the vegetables are almost tender, add 200g of curry powder. (This recipe is for approximately 6 servings).

Step 9

Whisk the curry powder into the liquid, ensuring there are no lumps. Lower the heat and let it simmer for at least 10 minutes, stirring occasionally to prevent sticking, until the curry thickens to your desired consistency. Continue stirring until the curry is rich and thick.

Step 10

Make diagonal cuts on the kielbasa sausage. Pan-fry the sausage until golden brown and slightly crispy. The cuts will help it cook through evenly and add visual appeal.

Step 11

Serve a generous portion of hot cooked rice in a bowl. Ladle the finished curry over the rice. Arrange the pan-fried kielbasa sausage on top for a complete and delicious curry rice bowl.

Step 12

This kielbasa sausage curry rice bowl is a hearty one-dish meal where you can enjoy rice, curry, and sausage all together! It’s a nutritious and delicious option that’s perfect for both children and the elderly. Enjoy a healthy and flavorful meal today – it’s Curry Day!
