Seasoning Ingredients

  • Ketchup 3 Tbsp
  • Gochujang (Korean chili paste) 1 Tbsp
  • Sugar 1 Tbsp
  • Oligodang (corn syrup) 1 Tbsp (can substitute with corn syrup)
  • Oyster sauce 1 Tbsp
  • Minced garlic 1 Tbsp
  • Black pepper to taste
  • Perilla oil 1 Tbsp (can substitute with sesame oil)

Shall we begin preparing for a delicious sausage and vegetable stir-fry? Gathering fresh ingredients is the first step to successful cooking!

Wash the onion thoroughly, peel it, and slice it into 1cm thick strips. If you have other vegetables in your fridge (e.g., bell peppers, carrots, mushrooms), prepare them to add for a richer texture and taste. You can finely chop vegetables that children may dislike.

Prepare the sausages as you like. Making shallow cuts, slicing them into rounds, or using cookie cutters to make cute shapes will make them even more appealing to children. Scoring them allows the sauce to penetrate better, making them tastier.

Now, let’s make the delicious sauce! In a bowl, combine 3 Tbsp ketchup, 1 Tbsp oyster sauce, 1 Tbsp gochujang, 1 Tbsp oligodang, 1 Tbsp minced garlic, 1 Tbsp sugar, and a pinch of black pepper. Mix well. This golden ratio sauce is key to the ‘Soya’s’ flavor!
