Key Ingredients

  • Fresh Corn (as much as you want to eat)

Flavor Enhancers

  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 2/3 Tbsp New Sugar (corn sweetener)

Cooking Instructions

Step 1

Smart Freezing Tip! To store corn, don’t completely peel off all the husks. Leave some of the outer layers intact while removing the inner silk and tough outer leaves. Rinse the corn gently. This method helps retain moisture and flavor. Place the prepared corn in an airtight container or a zip-top bag, ensuring all air is removed before sealing. Store in the freezer to keep it fresh. This way, when you thaw and reheat it later, it will taste almost as good as freshly boiled.

Step 2

Before boiling, take the frozen corn out of the freezer. Gently rinse it under cool water. If you fully peeled your corn before freezing, this rinsing step is important to ensure the kernels are clean and ready for boiling.

Step 3

Prepare the boiling water. Fill a large pot with enough water to fully submerge the corn. Add 1 teaspoon of salt and 2/3 tablespoon of New Sugar to the water. New Sugar is a special sweetener for corn that enhances its natural sweetness and chewy texture. If New Sugar isn’t available, you can substitute with regular sugar or corn syrup, but New Sugar provides a uniquely deep and rich sweetness.

Step 4

Now, carefully place the corn into the boiling water. Once the water returns to a boil, reduce the heat to medium. Boil the corn for approximately 15 to 20 minutes, depending on the size and type of corn. Be careful not to overcook, as this can make the texture mushy. The corn is ready when the kernels are plump and tender but still have a slight bite.

Step 5

Once perfectly boiled, carefully remove the corn from the pot and let it cool slightly – just enough so it’s comfortable to handle. Enjoy it warm for the absolute best flavor! Serve the delicious corn attractively on a platter for a delightful snack time with your family. Any leftover corn can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator and will keep well for 1-2 days.
