Tomato Juice Ingredients

  • 8 ripe, fully ripened tomatoes (using fresh, in-season tomatoes will enhance the flavor)

Cooking Instructions

Step 1

Prepare a box of fresh, ripe tomatoes. Using fully ripened tomatoes from their peak season will result in higher sweetness and a more delicious juice.

Step 1

Step 2

Prepare 4 servings, with 2 tomatoes per person. (e.g., if 4 people are drinking, use 8 tomatoes)

Step 2

Step 3

Wash the tomatoes thoroughly under running water. Then, make shallow cross-shaped cuts on the side opposite the stem. These cuts will make peeling easier.

Step 3

Step 4

Fill a pot with enough water to cover the tomatoes and bring it to a boil over high heat.

Step 4

Step 5

Once the water is at a rolling boil, carefully add the cut tomatoes and blanch them for about 30 seconds.

Step 5

Step 6

Blanch the tomatoes for a total of about 1 minute, turning them over halfway through. Boiling them for too long can diminish their fresh taste.

Step 6

Step 7

Remove the blanched tomatoes from the hot water and immediately rinse them briefly under cold water to cool them down. Cooling in cold water makes peeling more convenient.

Step 7

Step 8

Once the tomatoes have cooled sufficiently, use the scored lines as a starting point to gently peel off the skin. The skin should come off smoothly.

Step 8

Step 9

Now it’s time to blend the peeled tomatoes!

Step 9

Step 10

Place the peeled tomatoes into a blender. You can remove the seeds at this stage if you prefer, but they are also rich in nutrients, so blending them is fine too.

Step 10

Step 11

Blend according to your preference for consistency. You can blend until completely smooth for a velvety juice, or leave it slightly chunky for a bit of texture.

Step 11

Step 12

Enjoy this healthy and delicious tomato juice, made so easily! You can savor the pure flavor of fresh tomatoes.
