Ingredients

  • 3 instant coffee sticks (black coffee)
  • 40g cocoa powder
  • 200ml fresh milk
  • Ice cubes (to taste)
  • Hot water (small amount)

Cooking Instructions

Step 1

Let’s start by preparing the base for our cafe mocha: a rich coffee and a decadent chocolate sauce. Gather your 3 instant coffee sticks and 40g of cocoa powder.

Step 1

Step 2

In a bowl with the cocoa powder, add the instant coffee sticks. Pour in just enough hot water to dissolve them – we want a thick syrup, so avoid adding too much water, as it will dilute the flavor. Stir thoroughly until the cocoa powder and coffee are completely dissolved, creating a smooth, concentrated chocolate syrup.

Step 2

Step 3

Set aside about 20ml of the 200ml of milk in a separate tall glass or milk frothing pitcher. This portion will be frothed to create a lovely foam. Use an electric frother (or a handheld mixer or whisk) to create a smooth, fine milk foam. If you don’t have a frother, lightly whipped heavy cream is also a delicious alternative.

Step 3

Step 4

Now, it’s time to assemble your mocha! Fill your serving glass with ice cubes. Pour in the remaining cold milk, then gently drizzle in the prepared chocolate-coffee syrup, creating a beautiful layered effect. Finally, spoon the fluffy milk foam generously on top to complete the basic structure of your cafe mocha.

Step 4

Step 5

For the final touch, let’s enhance the visual appeal and flavor. Take a pinch of the reserved cocoa powder and dust it lightly over the milk foam using a small sieve. This professional touch makes your homemade cafe mocha look as good as it tastes. Your delicious and smooth cafe mocha is now ready to be enjoyed!
