Homemade Apple Jam: A Sweet and Luxurious Treat to Support Apple Farmers

Support Apple Farmers with an Easy Recipe! Making Luxurious Apple Jam Bursting with Juice

I used to be quite picky about fruits, but lately, I’ve been enjoying them more often! I recently bought a large batch of apples at a great price. While they tasted good, they were a bit too tart for my palate. As the apples were starting to lose their freshness, I decided it would be a shame not to use them, so I resolved to make delicious jam. I was a little hesitant about making jam, but it turned out to be the best decision! It was the easiest to make, took the least amount of time, and the taste is far superior to store-bought jam. It’s not too sweet and not too tart – just perfect. My two sons absolutely love it! My youngest son, in particular, eats it like a snack without even needing bread, exclaiming how delicious it is. He said it’s the best jam he’s ever had! They both enjoy it so much that I plan to make it homemade from now on. Try making this easy, juice-filled homemade apple jam that you can enjoy healthily. Wishing you an energetic start to your week! ♡

Ingredients
  • 10 apples
  • 2 ½ cups sugar (approx. 400g)
  • 2 Tbsp lemon juice
  • ½ cup honey (approx. 170g)

Cooking Instructions

Step 1

Wash the 10 apples thoroughly. Peel them, remove the cores and seeds, and then cut them into appropriate sizes.

Step 2

From the cut apples, dice 6 of them finely for the jam. Process the remaining 4 apples into juice or mash them into a puree. (Remember to remove the cores and seeds.)

Step 3

Place the diced apples into a wide, heavy-bottomed pot (a wok is recommended). Begin to cook over medium-low heat, stirring gently to release the natural juices from the apples as they cook.

Step 4

Once the apples are softened and start to boil, sequentially add the prepared apple juice (or puree), 2 ½ cups of sugar, 2 Tbsp of lemon juice, and ½ cup of honey. Stir continuously to prevent sticking. When the jam begins to thicken, reduce the heat to low and continue to cook for about 15-20 minutes.

Step 5

Once the jam is ready, carefully ladle it into pre-sterilized glass jars while it’s still hot. Inverting the jars after filling creates a vacuum seal, which helps preserve the jam for longer. Let them cool completely before storing in the refrigerator and enjoy!
