The perfect toast for when you’re feeling peckish! This toast is made in just one pan, and if you add two slices of cheese, the oozing, molten cheese is simply irresistible! A simple yet satisfying treat.

  • 2 slices of bread
  • 2-3 fresh eggs
  • 2 Tbsp milk (for extra tenderness)
  • Pinch of salt (to season the eggs)
  • 2 slices of cheese (for rich flavor!)
  • 3 slices of unsalted butter (for a nutty aroma and taste!)

Cooking Instructions

Heat a pan over medium-low heat and add one slice of butter, letting it melt and release its nutty aroma. Be careful not to use heat that’s too high, as it can easily burn the egg.

In a bowl, crack the eggs, add 2 tablespoons of milk and a pinch of salt, and whisk well. Pour the mixture into the heated pan and cook slowly. It’s important to maintain medium-low heat to prevent burning.

When the egg is halfway cooked, carefully place the two slices of bread side-by-side on top of the egg. Add another slice of butter on top of each slice of bread to enhance the savory flavor.

Gently tilt the pan to check if the egg is cooked through, then carefully flip the bread and egg together using a spatula. The key is to be gentle to prevent the egg from tearing.
