How to Make Delicious Spam and Egg Fried Rice
Elevate your basic fried rice with added ingredients for a richer and more satisfying Spam and Egg Fried Rice. This recipe uses simple ingredients to create a wonderful meal.
Main Ingredients- 1 can Spam (approx. 200g)
- 2 fresh eggs
- 1 bowl freshly cooked warm rice
- A pinch of aromatic black pepper
Seasoning & Others- 1-2 Tbsp soy sauce (adjust to taste)
- 2-3 Tbsp spicy seasoned chicken sauce (adjust to taste)
- 2-3 Tbsp cooking oil (generous amount)

Cooking Instructions
Step 1
First, dice the Spam into bite-sized pieces. If they are too small, they might not have a good texture, and if too large, they can be difficult to cook evenly. Cutting them into approximately 1cm cubes is recommended for a pleasant bite.
Step 2
Heat a frying pan with a generous amount of cooking oil. Crack the 2 eggs into the pan. Lightly whisk the eggs with a chopstick to break the yolks, then use the chopstick or spatula to scramble them into fluffy curds. Aim for larger curds rather than finely minced pieces for a better texture.
Step 3
When the scrambled eggs are about 80% cooked, gently push them to one side of the pan. Add 1-2 Tbsp of soy sauce around the edge of the pan to let it caramelize and release its aroma. This browning adds depth of flavor.
Step 4
Lightly mix the soy sauce with the scrambled eggs. Then, add the diced Spam to the pan and stir-fry them together. Cook over medium heat for 2-3 minutes until the Spam is lightly browned and cooked through.

Once the Spam and eggs are well combined, evenly sprinkle black pepper to your liking. Pepper adds a lovely aroma and helps cut through any richness, enhancing the overall flavor of the fried rice.

With the ingredients nicely stir-fried, add 1 bowl of warm, freshly cooked rice to the pan. Use a spatula to gently break up any clumps of rice and mix it thoroughly with the other ingredients. Stir-frying over high heat will help create individual, fluffy grains of rice.
Step 7
Finally, drizzle 2-3 Tbsp of the prepared spicy seasoned chicken sauce over the fried rice, adjusting the amount to your preference. This sweet and spicy sauce will make your fried rice even more flavorful and exciting! Mix it in quickly after adding.
Step 8
Stir-fry everything together until well combined. Turn off the heat, and serve the delicious Spam and Egg Fried Rice attractively in a bowl. Enjoy your meal while it’s warm!
