Key Ingredients

  • Tomato Spaghetti Sauce 300g
  • Ground Pork 200g
  • Spaghetti Noodles (for 2 servings, approx. 200g)
  • Mozzarella Cheese 1 cup (approx. 100g)
  • Pinch of Salt
  • A little Olive Oil
  • 2 Tbsp Mirin (or Cooking Sake)

Cooking Instructions

Step 1

First, place the 200g of ground pork in a pan to begin the cooking process. There’s an important step here to eliminate any porky odor.

Step 1

Step 2

When stir-frying the ground pork, do not add any oil initially. Cook the pork directly in the pan. Once the pork starts releasing its own fat, add 2 tablespoons of mirin (or cooking sake) and continue to stir-fry. This process effectively removes unpleasant odors and tenderizes the meat. Cook until the pork is completely done and no pink remains.

Step 2

Step 3

Pour the 300g of store-bought tomato spaghetti sauce over the well-cooked ground pork. Stir with a spatula or spoon, allowing the sauce to meld with the meat, and simmer for 1-2 minutes. Your delicious meat spaghetti sauce is now ready. Set it aside for a moment.

Step 3

Step 4

Now it’s time to cook the spaghetti. Bring a generous amount of water to a rolling boil in a large pot. Once the water is boiling, add a pinch of salt (about 1/2 teaspoon) to prevent the spaghetti from sticking together. As soon as the water returns to a boil, add the spaghetti for 2 servings and cook for about 8 minutes. It’s best to cook it al dente, as it will continue to cook slightly with the sauce.

Step 4

Step 5

Drain the cooked spaghetti using a colander and arrange it nicely in a serving bowl. Check that the pasta is perfectly cooked and has a nice al dente texture.

Step 5

Step 6

Generously spoon the hearty meat spaghetti sauce you just prepared over the cooked spaghetti noodles. Sprinkle about 1 cup (100g) of mozzarella cheese over the sauce. Imagine the cheese melting beautifully!

Step 6

Step 7

Now, it’s time to melt the cheese to perfection using the microwave. Place the bowl with the spaghetti in the microwave, cover it with a lid or plastic wrap, and heat for 2 minutes. The cheese will melt into a bubbly, appetizing layer.

Step 7

Step 8

Once the microwave cooking is complete, use a fork or chopsticks to thoroughly mix the noodles, sauce, and melted cheese. Now it’s time to enjoy your warm and flavorful meat spaghetti! Enjoy your meal!
