Hearty and Delicious Natto Bibimbap
Make a Healthy and Diet-Friendly Natto Bibimbap
While eating natto simply placed on warm rice is delicious on its own, a Natto Bibimbap is unparalleled for consuming a wide range of nutrients. Today, I’ll share a Natto Bibimbap recipe prepared specifically for your diet! It’s a simple yet satisfying meal.
Main Ingredients- 1 pack Natto (using Pulmuone Natto as a reference)
- 3-4 fresh Lettuce leaves
- 2 crisp Korean Cucumbers (Oi-Gochu)
- 1/2 bowl warm Rice
- 1 fresh Egg
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
First, wash the lettuce and Korean cucumbers thoroughly under running water. Once drained, use scissors to cut them into bite-sized pieces that are easy to eat, and arrange them prettily in a bowl.
Step 2
Lightly grease a frying pan and fry the egg. Since it will be mixed into the bibimbap, it’s best to cook the yolk only partially, leaving it slightly runny. This will give you a creamier texture when mixed with the rice.
Step 3
Pour both the soy sauce and mustard sauce packets included in the Pulmuone Natto package over the natto. Using chopsticks or a fork, mix vigorously until the natto becomes sticky and well-aerated. This step is crucial for bringing out the full flavor of the natto.
Step 4
Add 1/2 bowl of warm rice to the prepared bowl. Letting the rice cool slightly before adding other ingredients will help them mix together smoothly.
Step 5
Nicely arrange the well-mixed natto on top of the rice.
Step 6
Carefully place the half-cooked fried egg on top of the natto. The runny yolk will burst and coat the rice and natto beautifully.
Step 7
Finally, drizzle 1 Tbsp of sesame oil for a rich, nutty flavor and 1/2 Tbsp of soy sauce over everything. Your hearty and healthy Natto Bibimbap is now complete! Mix well and enjoy your delicious meal.
