Healthy Beef and Rice Noodle Soup for Baby
Baby’s First Meal: Delicious Baby Beef Rice Noodle Soup Made with Rice Noodles
Does your baby love noodles? We’ve made a healthy version using vegetable broth and rice noodles! This gentle soup is perfect for little ones, offering a nutritious and flavorful meal.
Ingredients- Beef 20g (lean cut)
- Rice noodles, a small amount (baby-sized)
- Vegetable broth 150ml
- Baby soy sauce 1 tsp
- Zucchini, a little
- Carrot, a little
- Egg 1
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
First, prepare the zucchini and carrot for your baby. Wash them thoroughly, peel off the skin if desired (I peeled mine), and then julienne them into thin strips. It’s best to cut them as thinly as possible so your baby can eat them easily. Place the prepared vegetables into a pot.
Step 2
Add the beef, which has been soaked to remove blood, to the pot. When the beef is cooked in the broth, it infuses the liquid with a wonderful flavor, making the soup even more delicious.
Step 3
Now, let’s make the noodle broth. Pour the vegetable broth into the pot with the vegetables and beef. Bring it to a boil, then reduce the heat to medium-low and simmer until the vegetables and beef are tender. As they cook, the broth will become more flavorful, and the cooked ingredients can be used as toppings later, which is very convenient.
Step 4
Once the broth is simmering, add 1 teaspoon of baby soy sauce for seasoning. Baby soy sauce is lower in sodium than regular soy sauce, so you can adjust the amount based on your baby’s age and preference. If it’s too bland, you can add a tiny bit more.
Step 5
Prepare the rice noodles. It’s best to cut them into bite-sized pieces for your baby. Rinse the rice noodles in cold water before cooking. For baby portions, noodles about the length of a finger joint are ideal. You can cut them in half before boiling, or after cooking, use scissors to snip them into smaller, manageable pieces. (If the noodles are still too long, cut them further with scissors to prevent your baby from dropping them.)
Step 6
Next, let’s make the egg garnish. Crack one egg into a bowl and whisk it well. Pour the beaten egg thinly into a lightly oiled frying pan and cook until set. Once fully cooked, julienne the egg into thin strips, similar to the vegetables.
Step 7
All the components are ready! Place the cooked rice noodles into a deep bowl. Ladle the warm, flavorful broth over the noodles. Finally, artfully arrange the tender zucchini, carrot, and beef that were simmered in the broth, and top with the beautifully prepared egg ribbons. Your delicious and healthy Baby Beef Rice Noodle Soup is complete. Enjoy!
