Now, I’ve finally discovered a delicious way to enjoy it! Making it into a latte with a touch of sweetener has become my favorite way to consume it. Let’s create this flavorful and healthful turmeric latte together!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup (200ml) low-fat milk
  • 1 teaspoon (ts) turmeric powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon (ts) cinnamon powder
  • 1/2 small piece of fresh ginger, thinly sliced
  • 1-2 teaspoons (ts) unrefined sugar, or to taste

Cooking Instructions

First, peel the half piece of fresh ginger and slice it very thinly. Thin slices help to infuse the milk with ginger’s aroma and flavor more effectively.

In a saucepan, combine the low-fat milk and the thinly sliced ginger. Heat over medium-low heat until the edges of the milk just begin to simmer, being careful not to let it boil over. This gentle heating allows the ginger’s fragrant essence to infuse into the milk.

Once the milk is warm enough, add 1 teaspoon of turmeric powder. Whisk it well to ensure there are no clumps.

Next, add 1/4 teaspoon of cinnamon powder and stir gently with the turmeric powder. The exotic blend of turmeric and cinnamon will create a wonderfully deep flavor profile.

Finally, stir in 1-2 teaspoons of unrefined sugar to sweeten the latte to your preference. I found that 2 small cubes of unrefined sugar provided a pleasant, balanced sweetness. You can also use honey or agave syrup if you prefer.
