Main Ingredients- 2 slices of bread
- Ham (enough to cover the bread)
- 1 slice of cheese
- 1 Tbsp corn salad
- 1 egg
Sauce- 1 Tbsp mayonnaise
- 1 Tbsp mayonnaise
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
Spread mayonnaise evenly on one side of a slice of bread. The mayonnaise acts as a delicious coating, contributing to a wonderfully crispy and savory texture.
Step 2
Nicely arrange the ham and cheese slice on top of the mayonnaise-spread bread. Using cooked ham will enhance the flavor even further.
Step 3
Take another slice of bread and press down firmly in the center with a cup or a round object to flatten it. This creates a well to hold the egg without it spilling.
Step 4
Gently press down on the flattened bread with your hands to create a more defined space for the egg. Be careful not to press too hard, or the bread might tear.
Step 5
Place the flattened bread on top of the bread layered with ham and cheese. Carefully crack one egg into the depression you created. (If you like, sprinkle some dried herbs for extra aroma.) Place in the air fryer and cook at 160°C (320°F) for 4 minutes, then at 170°C (340°F) for 3 minutes. After about 5 minutes, check how the toast is cooking and then add the corn salad on top of the egg.
Step 6
This recipe results in a perfectly soft-boiled egg. If you prefer a fully cooked yolk, remove the toast from the air fryer and microwave it for an additional 30 seconds to 1 minute. (Continuing to use the air fryer can dry out the bread and make it hard.)
