Ingredients

  • 500g White Bean Paste
  • 50g Almond Flour
  • 1 Egg
  • 1 Tbsp Honey

Cooking Instructions

Step 1

In a mixing bowl, combine 500g of smooth white bean paste, 50g of almond flour for a nutty flavor, and 1 egg. Mix these ingredients thoroughly with a spatula or your hands until they form a cohesive dough. Kneading until the dough becomes pliable is key for the right texture.

Step 1

Step 2

Once the ingredients are partially mixed, add 1 tablespoon of honey for sweetness. Continue mixing until the honey is evenly incorporated throughout the dough.

Step 2

Step 3

Fit a piping bag with a round tip (or your preferred shape). Transfer the prepared dough into the piping bag. Pipe the dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or a silicone mat, creating shapes about 3-4 cm long. Aim for a slightly thicker piping, as this will result in a better texture once baked.

Step 3

Step 4

Optionally, if you wish to add color, mix a tiny amount of food coloring into a portion of the dough. While the outer color might lighten during baking, the inner filling will retain a beautiful hue, adding visual appeal. Gently tap down any sharp points or peaks on the piped cookies. These can burn easily and may poke your palate when eating.

Step 4

Step 5

Because the bottom of these cookies can brown quickly, it’s helpful to place an extra baking sheet underneath the one holding the cookies. Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (350°F) for approximately 10 minutes. Oven temperatures can vary, so adjust the baking time and temperature as needed. Remove the cookies once they are lightly golden brown.

Step 5

Step 6

Once baked, take the Guribol out of the oven and let them cool completely. They achieve their best crispy texture when fully cooled. Enjoy them with a glass of milk or a cup of coffee!

Step 6

Step 7

These Guribol were baked without any added food coloring, offering a wonderfully mild and soft taste.
