Gourmet Bonito Flakes Cucumber Salad Recipe

Main Ingredients- 1 fresh cucumber
- 0.5 Tbsp fine salt (for salting cucumbers)
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
Trim off the ends of the cucumber. Then, cut the cucumber in half lengthwise.

Slice the cucumber halves diagonally into approximately 0.5cm thick pieces. This shape helps the dressing coat the cucumber evenly.

Place all the sliced cucumbers into a medium-sized mixing bowl.

Add the 0.5 Tbsp of fine salt to the cucumbers and gently toss to combine. Let it sit for about 10 minutes to draw out excess moisture, which will make the cucumbers tender yet slightly crisp.

After 10 minutes, gently press the salted cucumbers to remove the excess water. Do not rinse the cucumbers, as some of the saltiness will contribute to the final flavor.

Transfer the drained cucumbers back into a clean mixing bowl, ready for seasoning.
