Ingredients- 2 Tbsp minced garlic
- 200ml milk
- 160g brown rice pasta
- 100g Gorgonzola cheese
- 1 Tbsp butter
- 1/2 onion (red onion is recommended for beautiful color)
- Pinch of salt
- 100g frozen smoked chicken breast
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
First, finely mince the red onion and garlic to add depth of flavor to your dish. Slicing the onion thinly or mincing it finely will help it meld beautifully with the sauce.
Step 2
To further enhance the pasta’s flavor, add one ‘Izigny Buttercup’. This premium butter will add richness and creaminess, making the pasta taste even more luxurious. (You can substitute with 1 Tbsp of regular unsalted butter.)
Step 3
Begin boiling the healthy brown rice pasta. Brown rice pasta requires a longer cooking time than regular pasta, so be sure to check the cooking instructions carefully.
Step 4
Melt the butter in a heated pan. Add the minced onion and garlic and sauté until fragrant and lightly golden. Cook the onions until they become translucent.
Step 5
As the ingredients sauté, a wonderful aroma will fill your kitchen! Your mouth will start watering at this stage.
Step 6
Pour the milk into the sautéed onions and garlic, then add the Gorgonzola cheese. Stir constantly over medium-low heat until the cheese is completely melted and the sauce thickens to your desired consistency. Be careful not to reduce it too much, as it can become salty.
Step 7
Brown rice pasta typically takes longer to cook than regular pasta. While regular pasta cooks in about 8 minutes, brown rice pasta is recommended for around 16 minutes. However, to prevent it from becoming mushy, aim for an ‘al dente’ texture by cooking it for approximately 15 minutes. Once cooked, drain the pasta in a colander.
Step 8
Defrost the frozen smoked chicken breast beforehand. Once thawed, boil or lightly pan-sear the chicken breast, then shred it into bite-sized pieces. The unique smoky flavor of the chicken breast pairs wonderfully with the pasta.
Step 9
Add the cooked brown rice pasta and the shredded smoked chicken breast to the prepared Gorgonzola sauce. Stir-fry over high heat for a short time to ensure the pasta and sauce are well combined. Mix quickly to coat everything evenly. Season with a pinch of salt if needed.
