Cooking Instructions

Step 1

First, prepare your frying pan for the fried rice. Heat the pan over medium heat and add about 3 tablespoons of cooking oil. Ensuring the pan is sufficiently hot will greatly improve the cooking process.

Now, add the star ingredient: 4 tablespoons of minced garlic to the pan. Generous amounts of garlic are key to unlocking its full flavor potential. You can also use sliced garlic if you prefer.

Reduce the heat to medium-low and sauté the garlic, being careful not to burn it. You’ll know it’s ready when the edges turn a light golden brown and a fragrant, toasty garlic aroma fills the air. This should take about 1 to 2 minutes.

Once the garlic is beautifully fragrant, add 400g of warm cooked rice (approximately 2 servings) to the pan. Using warm rice, rather than cold, helps prevent clumping and results in fluffier fried rice.
