A magical taste completed in just a few minutes! This is a super simple grilled cheese sandwich recipe where you can fully enjoy the rich cheesy flavor melting between crispy toasted bread. Even cooking beginners can make it perfectly.
Essential Ingredients- 2 slices of bread
- 2 slices of cheddar cheese
- Butter, about 1 Tbsp
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
First, prepare all your ingredients before you begin cooking. You can use bread slices of your preferred thickness for toasting. Since it’s best to cook over low heat to prevent the bread from burning and ensure the cheese melts thoroughly inside, add half a tablespoon of butter to your pan and melt it slowly over low heat. Be careful not to let the butter burn, and spread it evenly across the pan.
Step 2
Carefully place one slice of bread onto the pan with melted butter. Once the bread is stably positioned on the pan, layer two slices of cheddar cheese on top. It’s good to place the cheese so it doesn’t overflow the edges. While the bread toasts to a nice golden brown and the cheese melts, keep the heat on the ‘lowest possible setting’. This is crucial to prevent burning the bread while achieving perfectly melted cheese.
Step 3
Now, cover the cheese with the other slice of bread. Simply place it on top as you would to make a sandwich. This helps trap the heat inside, ensuring the cheese melts even better, and warms the entire sandwich.
Step 4
After a short while, check if the bottom slice of bread is nicely toasted to a golden brown. Use a spatula to gently lift the sandwich and see if it has achieved a delicious golden-brown color. Once the bottom is well-toasted, carefully flip the sandwich over. After flipping, add the remaining half tablespoon of butter to the empty space on the pan. This butter will help crisp up the other side of the sandwich. Flip the sandwich again to toast the side coated with melted butter. It’s ready when both sides are golden brown, crispy, and the cheese is completely melted!
