Main Ingredients- 4 slices thick bread
- 2 fresh eggs
- 4 Tbsp milk
- 2 Tbsp butter
Sweet Toppings- 3 Tbsp sweetened condensed milk
- 1 Tbsp powdered sugar
- 2 Tbsp jam
- 3 Tbsp sweetened condensed milk
- 1 Tbsp powdered sugar
- 2 Tbsp jam
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
First, melt 2 tablespoons of butter in a pan over medium-low heat. Once the butter is melted, gently toast the bread slices on both sides until lightly golden. This helps the bread absorb the egg mixture better and achieve a crispier texture.
Step 2
In a wide bowl, whisk together 2 eggs and 4 tablespoons of milk to create the custard mixture. Dip the lightly toasted bread slices into the custard, ensuring they are fully submerged. Let the bread soak for about 1-2 minutes on each side until it has thoroughly absorbed the mixture, making it moist inside.
Step 3
Prepare another pan over medium-low heat. Place the soaked bread slices into the pan. Cook slowly over low heat to prevent burning. Once golden brown on one side, carefully flip and cook the other side until also golden. Transfer the cooked French toast to a plate. Now, let’s prepare the delicious toppings. Stacking them in a zigzag pattern makes for a beautiful presentation.
Step 4
Drizzle the warm French toast with sweetened condensed milk in a zigzag pattern. Next, sift the powdered sugar evenly over the top for a lovely finish. Finally, add your favorite homemade jam for a burst of fruity flavor. Your homemade French toast is now complete!
Step 5
Enjoy immediately while warm for the best taste! Feel free to add maple syrup or fresh fruits according to your preference. Have a wonderful time with these sweet and soft French toasts!
