This recipe was born from a combination my nephew and I love to make. The chewy somen noodles bring a rich, pasta-like texture, while the shrimp rolls are perfect as a snack or a delightful appetizer. Enjoy this harmonious blend of flavors!

Main Ingredients

  • 3 fresh shrimp
  • 1 strip of bacon
  • 1 slice of triple cheese
  • 1 slice of Sangha sliced cheese
  • 15 strands of cooked somen noodles
  • 1 tsp butter

Filling & Seasoning

  • 1 Tbsp minced onion
  • 1 Tbsp minced carrot
  • 1 Tbsp oligosaccharide
  • 0.5 Tbsp mayonnaise
  • 0.5 Tbsp minced garlic

Cooking Instructions

Step 1

Let’s prepare all the ingredients for this delicious dish.
– For the shrimp, peel them and make a lengthwise cut halfway through the body to ensure even cooking.
– Slice the bacon into uniform 1/3 portions.
– Cut both the triple cheese and the sliced cheese into uniform 1/3 portions. This makes rolling much easier.
– In a small bowl, combine all the seasoning ingredients: minced onion, minced carrot, oligosaccharide, mayonnaise, and minced garlic. (Measurements for seasoning are based on standard tablespoons.)

Carefully spoon the prepared filling mixture into the cut side of each shrimp. This will infuse the shrimp with wonderful flavor as it cooks.

Now, it’s time to roll! Place the filled shrimp onto a piece of triple cheese. Layer a piece of bacon over the cheese, then top with the cooked somen noodles. Tightly roll everything together, starting from one end. Gently press to secure the roll.

Melt 1 teaspoon of butter in a frying pan over medium heat. Place the rolled shrimp into the pan and cook, turning occasionally, until all sides are golden brown. The aroma of the butter will tell you it’s cooking perfectly. (Butter measurement is based on teaspoons.)

Once the shrimp rolls are nicely browned, flip them over to cook the other side. Then, place 1/3 portions of the Sangha sliced cheese onto the top of each roll. Cook over low heat just until the cheese is melted and gooey.

Serve the golden cheese shrimp rolls immediately. This dish is a fantastic snack, appetizer, or even a light meal. Enjoy your delicious creation!
