Chicken Breast Radish Soup- 100g chicken breast (cooked until tender)
- 100g Korean radish (cut to about the thickness of a thumb joint)
- 700mL water (for a suitable consistency for children)
- 1.5 Tbsp soup soy sauce (low-sodium for kids recommended)
- 0.5 Tbsp minced garlic (adjust to taste)
- 0.5 Tbsp sesame oil (for a nutty aroma)
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
First, thinly slice the Korean radish into bite-sized pieces that are easy for children to eat. If the pieces are too thick, they will take longer to cook and might be difficult for little ones to chew.
Step 2
Pour 700mL of water into a pot and bring it to a simmer over medium heat. Once the water is simmering, add the sliced radish and cook for about 5-7 minutes, or until the radish becomes translucent. When the radish is translucent, add the rinsed chicken breast, 1.5 Tbsp of soup soy sauce, and 0.5 Tbsp of minced garlic, then continue to simmer. Ensure the chicken breast is cooked until tender and easy for your child to chew.
Step 3
As the soup simmers, skim off any impurities or foam that rise to the surface to create a clear broth. Once all ingredients are cooked through and the flavors have melded, turn off the heat. Finally, drizzle in 0.5 Tbsp of sesame oil for a touch of nutty fragrance. This completes the soup! Remember to check the temperature before serving it to your child.
