Recipe Info

  • Category : Side dish
  • Ingredient Category : Vegetables
  • Occasion : Everyday
  • Cooking : Stir-fry
  • Servings : 2 servings
  • Difficulty : Anyone

Main Ingredients

  • Blanched broccoli florets, 30g (cut into bite-sized pieces for your baby)
  • Fresh eggs, 2
  • Water, 100ml
  • Baby-specific salt, 2 pinches (use a low-sodium option formulated for infants)

Cooking Instructions

Step 1

First, please check and prepare all the ingredients for today’s dish. Blanching the broccoli beforehand makes it softer and easier for babies to digest. Cut the 30g of blanched broccoli into small, manageable pieces that your baby can easily chew and swallow. Avoid pieces that are too large, as they might be difficult for your baby.

Step 1

Step 2

Crack the 2 fresh eggs into a clean bowl. Use a fork or whisk to gently beat the eggs, breaking up the egg whites and yolks until well combined. Ensure the ingredients are thoroughly mixed for a smooth texture.

Step 2

Step 3

Now, let’s start cooking. Pour 100ml of water into a medium-sized pan and bring it to a simmer over medium heat. The water will help create a softer texture for the dish.

Step 3

Step 4

Once the water in the pan starts to boil gently, add the pre-cut broccoli florets first. Let them simmer briefly in the water to soften slightly.

Step 4

Step 5

After adding the broccoli, wait a moment, then slowly pour the beaten egg mixture in a circular motion around the pan, ensuring it covers the broccoli. This helps the egg to cook evenly and surround the broccoli pieces. Pour slowly to prevent the eggs from clumping together.

Step 5

Step 6

It’s time to season the dish. Sprinkle 2 small pinches of baby-specific salt evenly over the mixture in the pan. Using salt formulated for babies is recommended as it contains less sodium. Be careful not to over-salt; adjust the amount as needed.

Step 6

Step 7

As the egg begins to cook and set at the bottom of the pan, let it cook undisturbed for a short while. Wait until the egg is about halfway cooked through before proceeding.

Step 7

Step 8

When the egg is about halfway cooked and starting to look slightly fluffy, gently stir and scramble it using a spatula or chopsticks. Break it up into smaller pieces as you cook. Continue to stir-fry just until the egg is fully cooked and most of the moisture has evaporated. This will result in a moist and tender broccoli and egg stir-fry. Let it cool slightly before serving it to your baby.
