Garlicky Butter Roasted Garlic
Savory Roasted Garlic – A Perfect Appetizer for Drinks
Super simple! A great snack for when you’re having a drink. It’s savory, with a hint of sweetness as a bonus! ^0^
Ingredients- 25 whole garlic cloves (choose cloves of similar size for even cooking)
Seasoning- 2 slices of butter (about 30g)
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1 pinch of salt
- 2 slices of butter (about 30g)
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1 pinch of salt
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
Prepare the Ingredients: Start by thoroughly washing the whole garlic cloves. Trim off the hard stem ends and peel off the outer skin. If the garlic cloves are very large, you can cut them in half.
Step 2
Melt the Butter: Place the 2 slices of butter into a non-stick skillet over medium-low heat. Allow the butter to melt slowly and completely. Be careful not to burn the butter; gentle melting is key.
Step 3
Add the Garlic: Once the butter is fully melted and has a nice golden hue, add all 25 prepared whole garlic cloves to the pan. Stir them around to ensure each clove is coated with the melted butter.
Step 4
Season the Garlic: As the garlic begins to turn a light golden brown in the pan, sprinkle in 1 teaspoon of sugar and a pinch of salt evenly over the cloves. The sugar will caramelize slightly, adding a wonderful sheen and sweetness, while the salt enhances the overall flavor.
Step 5
Cook Until Golden and Tender: Continue to cook over medium-low heat, stirring frequently to prevent burning. Cook until the garlic is golden brown on the outside and tender on the inside. The dish is ready when the garlic has a rich, appetizing golden-brown color. Serve immediately while warm for the best flavor and texture!
