How to Make Delicious Pork and Garlic Fried Rice at Home
Roasted garlic has a wonderfully savory aroma and is also beneficial for your health! Did you know garlic is great for you? When you make this pork and garlic fried rice, even the kids will eat it up. It’s a simple yet impressive meal.
Main Ingredients- 300g Pork Shoulder (cut into bite-sized pieces)
- 1/2 Onion (thinly sliced)
- 5 cloves Garlic (thinly sliced)
- 1 bowl Cooked Rice (warm rice is best)
- 1 Tbsp Cooking Oil
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
Heat a pan over medium heat and add 1 tablespoon of cooking oil. Add the thinly sliced garlic and stir-fry until golden brown and fragrant. Be careful not to burn the garlic; you want to gently toast it until it releases its aroma. Stir-frying the garlic first will infuse the entire fried rice with a deep, rich garlic flavor.
Step 2
Once the garlic starts turning golden, add the bite-sized pork pieces and stir-fry together. Cook until the pork is no longer pink on the outside, ensuring any raw smell is eliminated.
Step 3
Add the thinly sliced onion to the pan and stir-fry with the pork. Cook until the onions become translucent and start to sweeten, which will further enhance the flavor of the fried rice. Keep stirring occasionally to prevent the ingredients from sticking to the pan.
Step 4
Now it’s time to season. Add 1/2 teaspoon of salt and a pinch of black pepper. Stir-fry evenly to ensure the seasonings are well distributed throughout the ingredients. This is a crucial step for balancing the overall taste, so season carefully.
Step 5
When the pork is fully cooked and the seasonings have melded with the ingredients, add 1 bowl of warm cooked rice. Gently break up any clumps of rice with your spatula and stir-fry until the rice is evenly coated with the delicious sauce. Continue stir-frying to ensure every grain of rice is flavored.
Step 6
Transfer the delicious garlic pork fried rice to a serving bowl. Finish with a sprinkle of parsley flakes for a beautiful presentation. Your impressive homemade fried rice is ready to be enjoyed!
