Ingredients

  • 1 pack Pulmuone Square Fried Tofu Pouches (for Inari Sushi)
  • 3 bowls Cooked Rice
  • 400g Salmon Fillet
  • Salt (to taste)

Cooking Instructions

Step 1

First, cook your rice. Rinse the rice and let it soak for about 30 minutes before cooking it as you normally would. Using warm rice will help the seasonings mix in better.

Step 1

Step 2

Prepare the square fried tofu pouches for inari sushi. Set aside the seasoning liquid and furikake that come with the pack. Gently squeeze out excess liquid from the tofu pouches by placing them on a sieve and pouring hot water over them. Be careful not to squeeze too hard, as this can tear the tofu.

Step 3

In the warm cooked rice, add the seasoning liquid, furikake, finely chopped pickled radish (danmuji), and a pinch of salt. Mix everything gently with a rice paddle, making sure not to mash the rice grains. This ensures the seasoning is evenly distributed.

Step 3

Step 4

Now, let’s prepare the star ingredient: fresh salmon. Dice the salmon fillet into small, 5mm cubes. Cutting it into small pieces makes it easier to eat and presents beautifully on the inari sushi.

Step 4

Step 5

Gently open one end of each prepared tofu pouch and fill it with the seasoned rice. Don’t overfill, as this might cause the pouch to burst. Fill it just enough to maintain the pouch’s shape.

Step 5

Step 6

Arrange the diced fresh salmon pieces attractively on top of the rice-filled tofu pouches. Gently press the salmon down so it stays securely in place.

Step 6

Step 7

Serve the finished Salmon Inari Sushi with your favorite accompaniments. Try pairing it with thinly sliced onions, or dip it lightly in wasabi and soy sauce to enhance the salmon’s flavor. Enjoy your delicious creation!
