  • Scallions (Silpa): 2 handfuls (approx. 200g)

Seasoning

  • Soy Sauce: 4 Tbsp
  • Sesame Oil: 2 Tbsp
  • Gochugaru (Korean Chili Flakes): 2 Tbsp
  • Sugar: a pinch (or to taste)
  • Toasted Sesame Seeds: a sprinkle

Cooking Instructions

Thoroughly wash the scallions under running water, trim off any roots, and gently pat them dry. Cut them into bite-sized pieces, about 5-7 cm long, and place them in a large mixing bowl. Maintaining the crispness of the fresh scallions is key.

Add all the seasoning ingredients to the bowl with the scallions: 4 Tbsp soy sauce, 2 Tbsp sesame oil, 2 Tbsp gochugaru, a pinch of sugar, and toasted sesame seeds. You can adjust the amount of soy sauce based on your preference and the quantity of scallions. If you like a touch of sweetness, feel free to add a little more sugar.
